Who this applies to

This policy is operated by Abhishek Uniyal, sole proprietor, based in Bangalore, Karnataka 560035, India. It covers the website abhishekuniyal.com and any consulting or software engagement I provide to clients.

What I collect

Website visitors

Aggregate, cookieless analytics via Ahrefs — pageviews, referrers, and country-level location. No personal identifiers, no tracking cookies, no cross-site profiling.

People who email me

Your email address and the content of your message. Nothing more.

Clients under engagement

Name, business address, email, phone, tax identifiers (GSTIN if provided), payment method details handled by Stripe (card data never reaches me), project communications, and deliverables.

Why I collect it

• Analytics — to understand which writing gets read.
• Email — to reply to you.
• Client records — to deliver the services you've engaged me for, and to meet Indian tax and accounting requirements.

Where it lives

• Cloudflare Pages — hosting. Static files served via Cloudflare's global edge network.
• Ahrefs Web Analytics — aggregated traffic metrics. Cookieless and GDPR-aligned.
• Stripe — payment processing. PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant; Stripe's own privacy terms apply to card data.
• Google Workspace — email correspondence.

Some processors may handle data outside India. Each is contractually bound to equivalent protection standards.

Who I share it with

I do not sell personal data. I share data only with the processors named above, strictly to deliver services. I may disclose data if required by Indian law, a valid court order, or a lawful regulatory request — and only the minimum required.

How long I keep it

• Analytics — aggregate only; no personal identifiers retained.
• Client records — retained for 7 years after engagement closure, as required by Indian tax law.
• Emails — retained unless deletion is requested.

Your rights under the DPDP Act, 2023

As a Data Principal, you have the right to:

• Access a summary of personal data I hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data or request erasure.
• Nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf.
• Withdraw consent previously given, where processing is based on consent.
• Grievance redressal — see below.

Children

These services are intended for adults engaging in a business capacity. I do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

Material changes will be dated below and, for active clients, notified by email.
